On February 19, 2018 (Lunar Januay 4 of the Earth Dog of 2018), Fansipan Sapa Cable Car Services Co., Ltd. in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Sapa District People’s Committee hosted the Flower Horn – Northwestern Spring Radiance Festival 2018. The festival lured thousands of visitors and the locals alike .The second Flower Horn Festival 2018 was hosted and entitled as “Northwestern Spring Radiance”. This year, the festival attracts 10 participating teams from across communes of Sapa District, vying with 3 guest horn blowing teams from the provinces of Ha Giang, Lai Chau and Yen Bai. These provinces have done a decent job in preservation and promotion of traditional ethnic horn dances. The festival consists of two main parts: team horn dance and solo horn dance. The contest is to undergo two preliminary rounds and one final round. The final match is due to end and followed by the award ceremony on February (Lunar January 10).
